Rampcore

The Ramp Core is the centerpiece of the Museum, spiraling up 22.8 meters and around the 13.8-meter diameter of a vast skylighted space.
It is the gateway to the Museum's exhibition spaces...

In 1988, Paik Nam June's work "The More, the Better" was erected in the center of the Ramp Core to welcome the public entering the Museum...
The work is composed of 1003 video monitors, which make a tower 18.5 meters high and 7.5 meters in diameter. It commemorates the National Foundation Day of October 3. The combined effects of skylights and video monitors creates a mystic glow throughout the space. By taking the Ramp Core, spectators get a great view of this spectacular installation.

Central Hall

After entering the Museum through the Ramp Core, the visitor turns right into the large skylighted Central Hall, which is used for concerts, dances, art performances and receptions.

To the right and left of the Central Hall are Galleries 1 and 2 on the 1st floor, Galleries 3 and 4 on the 2nd floor, and Galleries 4 and 5 on the 3rd floor.

The walls of all three floors of Central Hall display photos and prints. Its semicircular shape echoes the ridge of the mountains surrounding the Museum.

The rest areas are placed in the corners of the hall with outdoor views of nature and art in harmony.
